Linerless labels vs Banding
Both solutions eliminate release liner waste, but they work differently. Traditional linerless labels still use adhesive. Banding takes a different approach by wrapping printed banding material around the product or packaging.

Go beyond removing the liner
Conventional linerless labels remove the backing liner but still rely on adhesive. Banding requires neither. At the same time, the band can carry branding, product information and variable data while also helping to secure, bundle or seal the product.
Label without adhesives
Unlike conventional linerless labels, banding does not need adhesive to remain on the product.
The band wraps around the product or packaging and stays in place with controlled tension.
That means:
- No adhesive on the primary packaging
- No sticky residue
- Easier material separation
- Less dependence on packaging surface characteristics
